| Day 1 |
After breakfast and briefing, drive to the national
park gate at Londorossi on West Kilimanjaro (about 2.5 hours).
We commence the climb walking through the Montane Rain Forest
towards the Shira Plateau at 3658m with a packed lunch on route.
Dinner and overnight at the campsite. |
| Day 2-3 |
After breakfast, we continue to an altitude
of 3962m, making a visit to the Plats Cone. Dinner and overnight
at the campsite. |
| Day 4 |
After breakfast, we continue east towards Kibo.
Passing the junction, we veer southeast towards the Lava Tower,
known as the "Shark's Tooth." Shortly after the tower,
we cross a second junction and continue up to the Arrow Glacier
at 4877m. Dinner and overnight at the campsite. |
| Day 5 |
Early in the morning, we commence the ascent
to Uhuru Peak (5895m), the highest point in Africa. Then we
descend straight down to the Mweka encampment for dinner and
overnight. |
Day 6
|
After breakfast, we continue descending down to
the Mweka Park Gate. Transfer to the Springlands Hotel for overnight. |
